The BIG Difference
We all have been trained to have certain
psychological and physical responses to what we view
as stressful situations. Being late to work,
spilling a cup of coffee on your lap before a big
presentation, not getting a promotion, and even a
terrible car accident are all events that society
says are bad and unfortunate within different
degrees.
By thinking negative thoughts, your body
automatically tenses up, one becomes anxious, and
energy is expelled on this uncontrollable event. In
essence, precious energy is wasted- energy that
could have been utilized to be a better dentist or a
more efficient manager. Although no one will
disagree that any of the above events are
unpleasant, it is impossible to change them once
they have occurred. The only thing one can
control, is how they choose to respond to these
events.
